In 2018, Durina crafted an Instagram profile for Hugo Lewinski as a foil in contrast to For You Katrina‘s Meta. Utilizing this identity, he sought to explore and reconnect with own masculinity in opposition to the more feminine Meta. The project Postcards from Hugo Lewinski (2017–2018), captured themes of romantic simplicity and the yearning for love through diary-like entries, adopting the post-internet aesthetic of an iPhone camera. Drawing heavily from Durina’s younger self, Hugo’s reflected Jan’s private life, blending aspects of his physique with Meta’s spirituality. Hugo engaged in playful flirtation, enjoyed himself, and shared snapshots of flowers, the latest music, and naked selfies with friends via Instagram, all meticulously chronicled in his Instagram stories.

“Hugo Lewinski wasn’t depressed. His sole aim was to enjoy his life.”
